Mouse and Rat Control

Mice get in through gaps the width of a pencil, and rats through openings about the size of a quarter. We start where droppings and rub marks actually are — under the sink, behind the stove, along basement sill plates, in the garage near the door corners — then set traps and tamper-resistant exterior bait stations and tell you what to expect in the first ten days. Interior mouse calls stay heavy in Silver Spring from the first cold snap in late October straight through February, especially in pre-1960 housing in Woodside Park, Sligo Park Hills, and Forest Glen where fieldstone and brick foundations have settled.

Sealing the openings is offered as part of the work, because trapping alone leaves the door open.
